I talked to the owner of this wagon, he says that the “ignition lights stay on and deplete the battery”. I’m assuming that means the daytime running lights. He has also replaced the ignition switch, which didn’t fix it. My mechanic thinks it’s just the DRL relay, which would be nice and simple.
It’s not the most exciting car in the world, but I'm just looking for a cheap, reliable daily that's preferably a wagon. There was a manual 850 turbo for sale a couple weeks ago, but I wasn't fast enough to get it, it sold fast. So yeah, anyone familiar with 850s, or this problem?

Nearly 300k miles!?! That seems a bit risky for any car. Looks clean but that’s still high mileage.

The ignition switch is the source of many electrical problems, though I’ve never heard of this one specifically being related. Drainage from interior lights staying on is more common.

Kms, that's like 180k miles or something

Hm...well hopefully it's just an unhappy rely then, it seems weird for it to get a short like that.

The common one is the light in the glovebox, actually. The warping plastic interior can cause the door to not hit the off switch.

Oh that's random, if I go see it I'll check for that too
